ALLEGRO HISTORY
The Allegro-Möbel GmbH, founded by Petra Ledendecker and Manfred Zimmer 1987 in Melle, employed five people in its first year of operation in an area of 2,000 m². Due a steady increase in business the company’s operation area grew to 5,000 m² and employed 40 people by 1993. The steadily increasing turnover during the following years necessitated an expansion of the area to 7,000 m² in 1995.
With the dedication of two more production and warehousing buildings in the year 2,000 the last expansion to date, to an area of 15,000 m², has been completed. Presently the company employs 90 dedicated staff members who purchase components for more than 5,000 tables, assemble, put orders together, ship and deliver them. Since 2003 Allegro-Möbel GmbH has been expanding their product range by the addition of hi-fi furniture.
